NATIONAL CENTER OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE IN INFORMATION ASSURANCE/CYBER DEFENSE RESEARCH

The University of Texas at Austin is a designated Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance/Cyber Defense Research.

The National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security jointly recognize institutions designated as National Academic Centers of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance (IA)/Cyber Defense (CD) Research (CAE-R). The purpose of the National CAE-R designation program is to promote higher education in IA and CD, in preparing a growing number of IA/CD professionals to meet the need to reduce vulnerabilities in the Nation's networks. The CAE-R program specifically encourages universities and students to pursue higher-level doctoral research in Cybersecurity.

CNSS CERTIFIED COURSEWARE - INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY PROFESSIONALS

The Committee on National Secuirty Systems and the National Security Agency have certified that The University of Texas at Austin offers a set of courseware that has been reviewed by National Level Information Assurance Subject Matter Experts and determined to meet the National Training Standard for Information Systems Security Professionals, NSTISSI No. 4011. Certification of this courseware is valid thorugh June 2017.
